In the end, he attempts to save Chandini from a burning house, only to learn that she had been trying to help him all along. Chandini’s death, in the end, she makes the movie over him which leads Surya to continue to make films based on societal evils.

After some time he led the Kannada film distributors, and the distribution rights were purchased by newcomer Yash Raj.
